Side Quests
In true me fashion, I couldn't just be simple and do University. I had to find some so-called side quests to fill every waking hour...
I coordinated (read Project Managed) a 450 person youth summer camp for Woodcraft Folk, with planning beginning in September 2022 and the camp taking place in the summer of 2023. While the camp was a huge success, it did take up basically every waking moment of my first year of uni which wasn't spent doing Uni things or adulting.
Alongside this, I also took on a role at PureFM, the Portsmouth University Radio Experience. My role was to look after their website, which back then used WordPress and to do some custom software development. I built a Tech Dash, and a studio clock (which was really badly built, I learnt after being shamed in a Web Dev lab by a lecturer). My tenure at PureFM would carry on into my second year as I undertook a committee role!
